Otago University

The University of Otago, located in Dunedin, the capital of the Otago region on New Zealand's South Island, was founded in 1869 and is New Zealand's first university. It ranked 176th in the latest 2019-2020 QS World University Rankings. The university comprises four faculties: Business, Health Sciences, Humanities, and Science. It also boasts New Zealand's only dental school and is ranked among the top ten internationally, and first in Oceania.

University of Auckland

The University of Auckland, founded in 1883, is located in Auckland, New Zealand's largest city. It is New Zealand's largest comprehensive university, offering the widest range of teaching and research programs. A world-leading research university, it ranks first among New Zealand's higher education institutions and is considered a "national treasure." In the latest QS 2019-2020 World University Rankings, it ranks 83rd globally, with its graduate employability ranking 59th globally, enjoying a very high international reputation.

University of Waikato

The University of Waikato, established in 1964, is one of New Zealand's eight government-funded public universities. It has over 12,500 students, including more than 2,200 international students from over 70 countries worldwide. Waikato is also the alma mater of former New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern. Located in the beautiful riverside city of Hamilton, it is one of New Zealand's most modern and innovative universities. All of its degree programs are fully accredited by universities worldwide, and it boasts extensive international connections. It is particularly renowned for its programs in law, management, computer science, natural sciences, and education, and is often referred to as the "Harvard of the Southern Hemisphere."

Lincoln University

Lincoln University, founded in 1878, was originally the Canterbury Agricultural College (part of the University of New Zealand—the only university in New Zealand's history to award diplomas and degrees from the University of New Zealand). One of New Zealand's oldest universities, Lincoln University is a member of the Association of Commonwealth Universities and a world-renowned agricultural university. It has been rated a five-star university by QS and ranked 372nd in the 2021-2022 World University Rankings.

Auckland University of Technology

Auckland University of Technology (AUT) is a renowned university in New Zealand, established on January 1, 2000 (its roots trace back to 1895). It has approximately 29,100 students across its three campuses in Auckland. It comprises five faculties and three additional professional locations: AUT Millennium, Warkworth Radio Astronomical Observatory, and AUT Centre for Refugee Education.

Massey University

Massey University, founded in 1927 and named in honor of former New Zealand Prime Minister William Ferguson Massey (1865-1925), is New Zealand's largest educational and research institution and its only truly national university. A member of the Association of Commonwealth Universities, it was the site of the torch relay for the World University Games. Massey University comprises five faculties: Business, Science, Arts, Education, and Humanities and Social Sciences.

Victoria University of Wellington

Victoria University of Wellington, founded in 1899, is located in the capital city of Wellington and has a total of 20,380 students from 60 countries. Its library holds one million volumes. University of Canterbury

The University of Canterbury, one of New Zealand's Group of Eight universities, is renowned worldwide for its engineering programs. Its beautiful location provides a comfortable learning environment for students. Founded in 1873, the University of Canterbury is best known for its engineering programs. Located in Christchurch, the capital of the Canterbury region, the university was originally situated in the city center but moved to the Ilam district in 1974. This provides excellent access to the city center and easy access to a range of cultural and recreational activities, including skiing on Mount Hutt. Christchurch is a gateway to the Southern Alps, Mount Cook, and Queenstown.
